Privacy Policy
Effective May 24, 2026
ASCNDR Athletix ("ASCNDR," "we," "us") provides personalized youth athletic training through the ASCNDR Athletix app. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. Because the app is built for athletes aged 6–18, a parent or legal guardian sets up, supervises, and consents to the account during onboarding.
Operator contact: ASCNDR Athletix, [business mailing address], ascndrsupport@gmail.com.
1. Who the account belongs to
A parent or legal guardian creates and supervises each athlete account. The guardian area is protected by a numeric PIN (stored only as a salted hash, never in plain text).
2. Information we collect
- Account: name, email, and a date of birth used to confirm age and tailor training.
- Athletic profile: sport, position, age group, goals, availability, equipment, and self-assessment.
- Activity: workouts, check-ins (energy, soreness, mood), streaks, achievements, goals, and coach assignments.
- Optional media: drill videos you choose to submit for feedback (stored privately, accessible only via short-lived signed links).
- Coaching chats: messages you send to Coach A and Dr A, kept so the features can reference context. These are AI-assisted; do not enter sensitive personal or medical details.
- Team data (if you join a team): roster membership, RSVPs, attendance, and information an athlete chooses to add (e.g., contact details, graduation year). A coach you join can see this.
- Waitlist (this website): name, email, optional phone number, sport, goals, ZIP, and referral source — used to send your launch invite and prioritize what we build.
- Technical: app version, device platform, a session identifier, push token (only if notifications are enabled), and diagnostic/error and usage events.
- Payments: handled by Apple (iOS in-app purchases) and Stripe (other platforms). We never receive or store full card numbers.
3. How we use it
To create and adapt training plans, power Coach A and Dr A guidance, track progress, run team features, deliver notifications you enabled, send your launch invite, provide support, maintain security, and improve the product. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not use children's information for behavioral advertising.
4. Children's privacy (COPPA)
We comply with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) for athletes under 13.
- A neutral age screen is shown before any personal information is requested.
- For an athlete under 13, we obtain verifiable parental consent before collecting personal information: after sign-up the parent receives an email and must click a one-time confirmation link. The account stays inactive until they do.
- We collect only the information reasonably necessary to provide the service and never condition a child's participation on disclosing more than is necessary.
- We do not show behavioral/targeted advertising to children. Any ads on the free tier are non-personalized and tagged as child-directed.
- A parent/guardian may review their child's information, refuse further collection, revoke consent, and request deletion at any time (Section 6).
5. Sharing
We share data only with service providers that run the app on our behalf — cloud hosting/database (Supabase), AI processing for Coach A/Dr A (Anthropic), push delivery (Expo/Apple), transactional email (Resend), and payments (Apple, Stripe) — under confidentiality obligations and limited to providing the service; with a coach/team you choose to join, limited to team participation; and if required by law or to protect someone's safety. We do not sell or rent personal information.
6. Parental rights & deletion
A guardian may review the athlete's information, request corrections, withdraw consent, and delete the account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Delete account, or by emailing ascndrsupport@gmail.com. Deletion removes data from active systems promptly; routine backups age out on a rolling schedule.
7. Data retention
We keep information while the account is active and as needed for the purposes above, then delete or de-identify it.
8. Security
We use industry-standard measures: encryption in transit, row-level database security, server-side secrets, hashed guardian PINs, and access controls. No system is perfectly secure.
9. US state privacy rights
Depending on your state (e.g., California), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or limit certain data and to not be discriminated against for exercising them. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise these rights, contact ascndrsupport@gmail.com.
10. Changes & contact
We will post changes here with a new effective date and, for material changes affecting children's data, seek parental consent again where required. Questions or requests: ascndrsupport@gmail.com.
This policy is provided for transparency and is being finalized with legal counsel. For questions, contact ascndrsupport@gmail.com.
